The Big Show recalls story where Brock Lesnar terrified WWE fans - 'I just watched 300 people pee th

Wrestling may be scripted, but Brock Lesnar is still a terrifying human being.

A former UFC heavyweight champion, he has proven credentials outside of WWE.

But back in the early 2000s, Lesnar embarked on his first run in professional wrestling with his two years in WWE.

At the time, he was just an absolutely freak of nature who had all the size and strength in the world. At 6ft 3in, he may not have been the biggest in the company, but the muscles he had were insane. He was easily 350lbs.

Paul Wight - formerly known as The Big Show in WWE - worked with Lesnar a lot between 2002 and 2003 in particular and he told a story of how Lesnar terrified 300 fans in one go.

“So we come right to the (airport gate),” he explained on Renee Pacquette’s Oral Sessions.

“And they had some little club rope trying to keep everyone away. It was pretty bad. Brock comes out with his glasses on, blonde hair; just mad at the world because he’s been travelling for 20 hours.

“If you know Brock, he’s the sweetest guy you’ve ever met if he likes you. If he doesn’t… it’s not going to end well for you.

“And I remember pictures going off, people are screaming; someone snatched his glasses off. He looked at everybody like this and everyone pulled their cameras down. And everyone there got scared.

“Then he flinched and 300 people went “HUH!” They all gasped. I started laughing so hard. And he says ‘I appreciate it in advance before you take a picture.’ Then he walks off.

“And I have tears in my eyes. Because I just watched 300 people pee themselves!”

Wight has now signed with AEW at the age of 49, but he credits a fresh Lesnar for reinvigorating his career back in 2002.

“For a long time I had a lot of heat up there (in WWE),” said Wight.

“Brock knew me. And they asked Brock and he said ‘I want to work with the Giant. You guys don’t know how good he is.’ And then we had that stretcher match. After that it was off and running.”
