How you could be the new owner of this Hamptons stunner
A HAMPTONS-style home that shot to fame in the first series of Grand Designs Australia could be yours for just $2.
The $3.2m prize home in the Gold Coast Hinterland in Queensland is Mater Foundation’s largest prize home in size and value.

The house, on a sprawling 4006sq m block at 2 Colchester Court, Maudsland, is built over three levels and has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a gym, sauna, pool and wine cellar.
The residence was carefully positioned on the elevated block to maximise the views of the Hinterland.
The Mater Foundation bought the house just before the Coast’s history-making Covid property boom – the foundation paid $2.35 million for the property in October, 2021.
The total prize home package is now valued at $3.2 million with a $200,000 furniture package and $2500 gold bullion also thrown in.
“Imagine turning a two-dollar coin into all of this – it sounds impossible, but someone will win it all,” said Matt Brinckley of the Mater Foundation, which helps to fund clinical programs, health research, and medical equipment, education and training.
“We’re predicting that the lottery will sell out, so get in quick – buy your tickets today.
“Remember, each ticket brings hope and healing to patients by helping to fund vital medical research and exceptional patient care at Mater.
“From vital cancer research and treatments, to caring for some of our tiniest premature babies, your support makes the world of difference to patients and their families across our community.”
Evette and Jesse and their triplet daughters Charlotte, Aria and Alyssa are just some of the people who have benefited from Mater Foundation proceeds.
“It was very overwhelming,” said Evette, after she discovered she was expecting not one, but three babies.
While they initially battled to conceive, Evette and Jesse suddenly faced a high-risk multiple pregnancy.
At 31 weeks gestation, Evette had triplets by caesarean section.
“Due to my high-risk pregnancy, there were so many staff with us,” Evette said.
“There were three paediatricians, scrub nurses, midwives, anaesthetic technicians, and nurses, and three resuscitation cots waiting for my baby girls.”
Thankfully, Evette’s girls did not need resuscitating, but they were immediately taken to the Neonatal Critical Care Unit for specialist care.
The girls remained at the Mater for eight weeks – six days in the Neonatal Critical Care Unit before they went to Special Care for the remainder of the time.
“We are so grateful to all the amazing staff at Mater, who walked this journey with us every step of the way,” Evette said.
“We’re also so grateful to the supporters of Mater Prize Home.”
“I discovered that a lot of the specialised equipment that was used for my girls was bought with funding from Mater Prize Home.
“I’ve bought my tickets for the lottery, so I hope everyone else does too.”
Mater Prize Home No 301 will be drawn on June 23.
